Vow to Release 'Kind Eyes" Now Streaming at The Fader

Posted on March 30th, 2016

It's been along time coming, but Vow is finally back with their debut album, Kind Eyes! Today, The Fader is exclusively streaming the song "Green Light". They call it a "a lush, heartbreaking track about a bittersweet end to a relationship".

We're also excited to launch pre-orders today for the limited edition 12" pressing on Dark Maroon and standard Black vinyl. This record is a little different from their past releases. Resembling indie rock more than the synth-pop of their former life, Andrew and Julia recruited their close friend, sometimes collaborator, and Touché Amoré guitarist Nick Steinhardt as a permanent addition to the band. ‘Kind Eyes’ is the result of this new evolution of Vow. Their 10 song debut LP will be out May 27th.

Private Press 003: Lost Film – Silver Keys

Posted on March 22nd, 2016

Lost Film is back with another release – his second this year! This time in the form of a one-off single recorded over three hours at Converse’s Rubber Tracks studio in Jimmy's hometown of Boston. Clash premiered the song and called it "sparse yet affecting indie rock, the project's work to date recalls Pavement, Silver Jews and mid-period Sebadoh, all while forging a voice of its own.".

“Silver Keys” also marks the third entry in our Private Press series. Pressed on made-to-order hand-numbered square 7” lathes, “Silver Keys” will be on sale for a one week period. At the end of that week we will press the exact amount ordered, and that’s it. No repressing ever. This is your only chance to ever own this 7”, so if you want it, order by March 28th. All orders should ship about three weeks later.

Divino Niño to Release New Album; Listen to "Time" At Noisey

Posted on March 19th, 2016

Today we're excited to announce Divino Niño's sophomore album The Shady Sexyfornia Tapes! Noisey is streaming the first single "Time" – they compared it to Mac DeMarco and that band that plays at the Roadhouse in Twin Peaks.

Following their debut LP Pool Jealousy, The Shady Sexyfornia Tapes is much more relaxed effort. The band recorded it at home, and although most songs hover around two and a half minutes, they’re far from underdeveloped. Filled with rich harmonies and liberal use of eclectic percussion, the songs on this record reflect the band’s most confident and inspired to date.

The Shady Sexyfornia Tapes will be released May 13th, both digitally and on limited edition cassette tapes.

Miserable Premiere "Violet" At The Fader

Posted on March 15th, 2016

Check out Miserable's new "poignant and shoegazey" song "Violet" at The Fader!

"Violet, a particularly poignant, shoegazey track that gets deep under the skin—not only with Esfandiari's boundless voice, but with the slow beating drums, steady, ominous melody, and the rise of tension in the form of fuzz and reverb. If you've ever felt the pain of becoming estranged from a close friend, "Violet" will hit hard."
